The Websters are a spider family that lives in the corner of a lift machine room. The Websters’ world is wide, created to the smallest detail. Friends, school, the distribution centre for canned flies, the shopping mall, their eating habits and history events. The Webster‘s family is big – grandma and grandpa, mum and dad, two children – Hugo and Lili. The stories are built around the main character – Lili, but all members of this family have their own problems to solve. Just like in any human family – the life in this spider family is also full of mistakes and wrong expectations. We would like to tell everyday life stories to help children find understanding, forgiveness and offer them right models for expressing their feelings and emotions. Because THE STRONGEST NET IS YOUR FAMILY!

Blind, shy Mimi and restless, crazy Lisa discover the amazing worlds of neighbours in their house. The extraordinary friendship of these two girls brings a lot of adventures, but also opens hearts of people living in the house. The grey building becomes more cheerful and open. And now everyone will celebrate Christmas together. Everyone will decorate the big Christmas tree in the hall of the house. The same as in their childhood stood on the town square. Because Christmas time is the best time to create new memories for the future. And probably correct the wrong ones, deeply hidden in our minds from the past.

A short film about ties and gaps between a child and a parent.

Diana was 11 when her dad spent a year in prison. They could not be together but her dad wrote to her letters full of love. Now 15 years later, no bars set them apart but they are not close any more. Diana blames her dad for what happened in the meantime. That he left their family in order to get a son-successor from another woman. Eventhough such a thing is tolerated in parents´ home Vietnam it is hardly understandable for Europe-based Diana. Being assured by dad´s love letters from the past, Diana tries to re-connect with him and accept that parents sometimes do things one don´t understand.

Mixed techniques.

Animated documentary about life after the loss of a loved one deals with a difficult topic, using techniques of both live-action and animated film. Real experiences of the narrators are combined with animated sequences reconstructing painful situations, looking into the thoughts of three young people untimely exposed to death.

The film competed as a finalist for BAFTA Student Award. It was awarded at IDFF Ji.hlava 2018 and Anifilm 2019. Internationally it was presented at IFF Rotterdam 2019 or Annecy 2019.

A Vietnamese girl grows up in a European town. As she gets used to what it means to be strange and at home at the same time, her family inevitably heads towards a fatal decision. Who will leave – who will stay? Whose home is where?

We work with Kristina Dufková, Bára Dřevíkovská, Matěj Chlupáček (Barletta) and Petr Jarchovský on development of a puppet feature film for children and teens about love, food and growing up. The film is based on a French novel by Mikaël Olivier. Living Large is a Czech-Slovak coproduction. Shooting starts spring 2021.
